Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

We are committed to protecting your privacy and security. If you want to ensure that your data is only being used as you wish, please read on.

We are a micro-business, and even if we wanted to misuse your data we don’t have the time to figure out how to do so.

We collect and store the information we need to provide you with the information you’re interested in and the courses or service you purchase from us. We use Facebook pixel, Proof, Olark, and DeadlineFunnel, and other third-party tracking software so that we can sell you our programs and services. They tell us how you interact with our site and what you’re interested in as well as keep track of anything you sign up for and have a discount deadline for.

This is a business, and we have to sell things in order to stay in business (and provide you with lots of free content as well). None of our third-party sites store extremely personal data, but some do track your IP address and location.

We control this site from our office in Norman, Oklahoma, U.S. We do not represent that materials on the site are appropriate or available for use in other locations. Anyone who chooses to access this site from other locations do so on their own initiative, and are responsible for compliance with local laws.

Third-party Sites

Our sites contain links to other websites that may offer products or services that our customers might find useful. These sites may request information from you. In such instances, the collection and use of your personal information will be governed by the privacy policy applicable to that site. We do not control the privacy policies, content, or links that appear on these sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites or services before providing any of them with your personal information.

Cookies

Our site uses cookies, some of which are necessary to provide you with security while browsing our site and quickly load content for you. Other cookies help us analyze how visitors use our site, remember visitors who have been on our site multiple times, and enable sharing of our content on social media. If you don’t want our cookies, then you can block them on your browser. But that may mean things are slower or don’t work as they are supposed to and your passwords don’t autofill for our course membership sites.

Visitor Tracking

We collect your information in order to record and support your participation in the activities you select. If you register for a course, a membership site, or a free training series, for example, the information is used to enroll you in the program, to enroll you in our newsletters, to track your preferences, and to keep you informed about the product and related products. As a visitor to our sites, you can engage in many activities without providing any personal information.

Email Marketing

If you opt in to receive any free training series, download a free product, register for a webinar, seminar, or live event, or purchase any product sold by us or promoted by us, you will also be invited to opt-in to our free newsletter. You will be told at the time or registration or sign up that you are being subscribed to our newsletter. If you do not wish to receive this free newsletter, you may opt out at any time. We include an unsubscribe link at the bottom of every e-mail we send. If you have any trouble opting out, please email us at support@grantwritingmadeeasy.com. We will manually remove you from our email list(s).

If you sign up to our newsletter, we will send you a newsletter–generally one a week, but occasionally more if we have interesting info to share with you. Your name and email address are stored securely in ConvertKit.

If you sign up for a course, we will send you emails about the course. The frequency of which depends on the course. You can unsubscribe but you’ll miss important stuff about the course.

ConvertKit automatically adds tracking to links, so if you open an email, we know. If you click on a link in an email, we know.

Your Right to be Deleted

If you want to be deleted, send us an email at support@grantwritingmadeeasy.com and we’ll delete all the info we have on you from our systems. Remember, as of now, only residents of the European Union have the right to be deleted.

The only payment-based details we hold on our site is how much you’ve spent and whether you paid with a credit card (via Stripe) or PayPal. We have no bank or card details or nada here. Stripe is GDPR compliant.

The right to be deleted does not include SamCart, Stripe, and PayPal. If you want to delete your SamCart, Stripe, and Paypal accounts you have to do that yourself via SamCart, Stripe, or PayPal. We cannot delete your purchase history because the taxman will be terribly upset.

Just so you know, though, if you delete yourself, you won’t be able to access our courses anymore. We need your email address so we know you’ve paid and that you’re allowed to access it.

Social Media

We use social media to promote our courses and services, but also to provide you with lots of free helpful information.

You are not required to follow our social media accounts.

This Privacy Policy is adapted from the Writer's HQ policy. Many thanks to them for sharing this resource.
